Michael Tello
About
Michael Tello practices in the area of Railroad and Train Accidents. He brings over 50 years of railroad industry experience to Bolt Law Firm and is also Minnesota’s longest-standing, uninterrupted UTU-SMART Designated Legal Counsel. Before dedicating his legal career to representing injured railroad workers as a FELA lawyer, Michael was a switchman for 11 years and served as a UTU local chairman. He was also elected as Delegate to the International Convention, vice president of his local union, and served as an international officer on the executive board.
After a career-ending injury due to a railroad’s negligence, Michael attained his law degree from the University of Minnesota Law School with hopes of helping others who have been through similar circumstances. He continued to serve as a UTU local chairman for another 25 years after his injury.
Michael brings extensive railroad experience to Bolt Law Firm that provides him with a unique insider’s view of railroad and train accident cases. This insider’s knowledge benefits injured railroaders who have experienced devastating injuries due to a railroad's negligence, wrongdoing, or violation of federal regulations. His legal work has resulted in life-changing compensation for railroad workers across the country.
Michael has a widespread practice in protecting whistleblower rights for workers who have reported safety concerns or an injury, training a new era of local chairpersons on handling investigations, and managing FELA claims. His deep-rooted passion for railroading, railroaders, and protecting their families is second to none.
